My entire life I had been somewhat stuck in the midwest. I always loved to travel, but I had never been further west than Colorado. I felt like there was so much more for me to see, so senior year two other friends and I decided to schedule a trip out to Hermosa Beach, California.
We managed to rent a beach house in Hermosa equipped with 3 bikes, and of course, Uber. Those five days were spent exploring up and down the coast, or as far as we could get on our bikes. Each day was a whole new adventure, never knowing what we would do. From surf lessons with a native Hawaiian to a spontaneous trip to Catalina Island. The trip was filled with spontaneity and adventure, just what I needed. I learned a lot about myself and my friends on the journey. (Hint: Riding your bike from Hermosa to Venice Beach is painful when one of your friends has the electric bike) Anyways, here's a what we did.
If you haven't seen it, here is a video I made of the trip! And a little behind the scenes here.
It was the most thrilling adventure I have been on.
